Thanks to everyone over at MitsubishiForum.com and deltainfo.ro.

Be sure to check out TakingThingsApart.org to thank the man behind the patch.

There's A LOT of information on the forums, but it's difficult to find what you need in an organized fashion.

Hopefully you will find this easy to sort through.  I am still gathering information for various countries and editions.  Feel free to email me at owner@vinyldestiny.com with missing links and such.

What do you do with these files?
1. Burn the ISO file on a blank CD.  Make sure you burn as an IMAGE (ISO).  If you downloaded the .rar version, unrar to receive ISO.
2. Start the car engine, and insert the burned CD in the MMCS.
3. Wait for it to check the disk and to start the upgrade procedure.  It may take up to a minute do make the checks.  Some suggest to make sure the radio is off.
4. Wait for the update procedure to finish.  This will take 3 to 5 minutes.  At the end, the unit will reboot.
5. After start, you will be prompted AGAIN to update.  Choose NO, as the unit is already updated.
6. Remove the CD.  The DVD in Motion will now work.

How do I find the version of my MMCS?
Hold SET+NAVI for a few seconds, then touch Version Indication.  Take note on EM or UM Versions and also the version number.

What if the version listed is not the one I have?
If you have version 00.30.99 then it will not work with version 00.30.94, but if you have something earlier than the listed download version, then it will update your current version and DVD in Motion will work.  A generic patch is in the works.  However, some people were able to apply the patch but it downgraded their MMCS.  It might work, so give it a try if you don't mind downgrading.

Does this work for AUX in Motion too?
No.  However, it's on the to-do list.

What is an ISO and RAR file?
An ISO file is an image and is ready to be burned to a CD as an image.  A RAR file needs to be extracted with WINRAR or similar program to produce the ISO file.  Usually RAR files download faster because they are compressed.
